Sered Cycle of the Galdhwaith / Sered Cycle of the Guardians /Sered Cycle of the Servants / Nutty Cycle

BTS: 58% (Co)

ULT: 24 hours

Materials: a Nut or Cone

Actions: drop Materials

Effect of Throw:

1 to 12    No Effect

13 to 20 Nut Damage (d4s) = (T-12)/2 FRU

21 to 32 Nut Damage (d4s) = (T-8)/3 FRU

33 to 48 Nut Damage (d4s) = T/4 FRU

49 to 68 Nut Damage (d4s) = (T+12)/5 FRU

³ 69 Nut Damage (d4s) = (T+28)/6 FRD

Distance from nearest Tree (to centre of Radius): 10T ft    -(T-1) ft

Range (to centre of Radius): 30d ft -d(d-1)/2    (may state a Range less than that given by the parameter)

Radius: 5r ft -r(r-1)/2    (may state a Radius less than that given by the parameter)

Height: 10h ft -h(h-1)/2    (may state a Height less than that given by the parameter)

Duration: s sec -s(s-1)/2

Notes:

  1. Requires any Nut or Cone from a Nut or Cone-bearing Tree as Materials, but nearest Tree may be of any Species.  If Materials and nearest Tree are of the nearest Species, does +1 d4 Nut Damage, or +2 d4 Nut Damage if it is Caster's Totem Tree.
  2. Caster must have a line of sight to centre of Radius.
  3. Nuts of the same type as Materials rain from the Height within the Radius (not from the nearest Tree) for Duration and all fallen Nuts disappear at the end of Duration.  If Radius is beneath nearest Tree, the Nuts may appear to rain from nearest Tree.  They are not blocked by its branches and leaves, and will simply fall through them.  They may however be blocked by obstacles in the Tree.
  4. No concentration is required to maintain the Rain during Duration.
  5. Creates a Rain of a constant no. of d4s Nut Damage, which are rolled every second that a Target corporeal Being caught within the Rain of Nuts takes damage. If multiple Target Beings take damage in the same second, roll the same damage against all of them.
  6. Each Target Being  must make a st against the Nut Damage each second they are within it.  A Being partially within the Rain must save against an appropriate percentage of the Nut Damage.  Making the st halves the damage taken (FRU: e.g. 5 is halved to 2), and a further st may then be made to halve it again. Once a st is failed, the Being takes the remaining Nut Damage. All damage taken is General Damage.
  7. The min ADS of any armour that covers the majority of the body subtracts from each d4 of Nut Damage before sts. A Shield held over the head will subtract its ADS from the total damage taken after sts in addition to any ADS from armour (but will not block all damage as the Nuts bounce around).
  8. Prot vs. Nuts Effects will subtract from Nut Damage.  Cones count as Nuts for this purpose.
